GWS Photography is a family-run portrait studio based in the beautiful East Lothian countryside, just outside Edinburgh. Since 2010, Grahame and Ali have built the studio around one simple idea – brilliant photography should come with an equally brilliant experience. Today, alongside family, newborn and pet photography, GWS has become particularly known for its Boudoir experiences, created by Ali and photographer Leanne. Their approach is relaxed, friendly and completely down-to-earth. There’s no expectation to know how to pose, look a certain way or somehow arrive feeling super-confident – that’s their job. Ali is there to look after you throughout, while Leanne guides you through the photography and makes the whole experience surprisingly easy and great fun. Women of all ages, shapes and sizes visit the studio, often nervous at first, and leave wondering why they didn’t do it years ago. It’s still you. Just with really, really good photographs.
